Projects and Links

Sometimes I work on some more or less conceptuel projects, like the serie of 'paysages intérieures', inner landscapes. When I started the first collages of this serie, there was a personal necessity. The mass of images from different medias became too important and oppressing. They interfered with my perception of spaces and surroundings and they disturbed my creative process, because they often reflected a reality that had nothing in common with 'my' world.

The Czech philosopher Vilém Flusser developed different theories concerning communication and images. He generally classifies images as traditional and technical ones. Traditional images are produced with artistical knowledge, while Techno-images are encoded by technical programs, they look 'real', but they are further away from nature or reality than traditional pictures.

By reading Flusser, I understood my uneasiness vis à vis Techno-images and the necessity to include them in my universe. It was my way to overcome the code of the technical programs and bring Techno-images to my human dimension, I became the 'Code Source' again.
